The Hang Seng Index expanded losses in the afternoon trading session. The benchmark index slumped by 645.89 points or 2.2 percent at 28,739.72 points. The Hang Seng Tech Index fell by 2.13 percent to 8,456.43 points. The SSE Composite Index advanced by 0.47 percent at 3,453.08 points. Shenzhen Composite Index edged up by 0.17 percent at 2,220.26 points.
