London-based ready-to-wear label, Self-Portrait has gained a legion of fashionable fans since it was founded in 2013 by Central Saint Martins alumni Han Chong. Han tells us what we can expect from the line from sisterhood to culture and the campaign. Growing up in Malaysia, I was surrounded by a strong family who loved coming together to celebrate the Lunar New Year. We discussed our shared experience growing up in Asia, the importance of sisterhood and culture, and how we could bring that to life through Alexandra’s images. We wanted the campaign to celebrate family and friendship and for the narrative to illustrate the importance of unity, community and shared rituals.
