After a warm, sunny weekend, the city of Hamilton is under a severe thunderstorm watch. Evironment Canada says that conditions are favourable for the development of "dangerous" thunderstorms that could produce damaging wind gusts and hail. "Very large hail can damage property, break windows, dent vehicles and cause serious injury," an alert from the weather agency reads. "Very strong wind gusts can damage buildings, down trees and blow large vehicles off the road. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes."
