The chairman of Hamilton Accies has been urged to resign after calling fan chants towards the board a "hate crime". It is understood sections of the home crown chanted: "Sack the board" towards the area club directors were sitting. "We are working to identify those responsible for this hate crime and these so-called supporters will receive the banning order they deserve from all football matches." In response, fans ridiculed Mr Maitland by pointing out that no hate crime seems to have taken place.
