Hamilton’s Collective Arts Brewing eyes Brooklyn for expansion

Hamilton’s Collective Arts Brewing is opening up a 16,000-foot brewery, event space and tap room/restaurant in the Gowanus neighbourhood of Brooklyn, N.Y., later this year, co-founder Matt Johnston confirmed Wednesday. Hamilton’s Collective Arts Brewery is taking on the big boys of the Big Apple with an expansion to Brooklyn’s Gowanus neighbourhood. Collective Arts was founded in 2013 and was brewed under license in Burlington by Nickel Brook. The biggest Brooklyn-based brewery is Brooklyn Brewery, in the hip Williamsburg neighbourhood. Johnston says Collective Arts isn’t foolish enough to try to take on the giants and blanket the entire city.
