KOTA KINABALU: Hamid, the younger brother of Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, has been released on bail. Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie was at the Damai Specialist Hospital on where Hamid was warded since Sunday to conduct the release procedures Thursday. Hamid was allowed a RM50,000 bail (RM25,000 deposited) with two local sureties and was released at 10am. Stephanie later headed to the Gleneagles Hospital to carry out the release procedures for Hamid's son-in-law, Manzur Hussein Awal Khan. The 37-year-old businessman was allowed a RM30,000 bail with two sureties and is required to report monthly to the MACC office here.
