KARACHI: Hamdard University, Karachi successfully organised HEC Intervarsity Football Championship (Men) Zone-G 2017-18 at the university’s main campus from January 17 to 22, 2018. After playing the qualifying, and then quarterfinal rounds, the semi-final was played between Aga Khan University (AKU) and University of Karachi (UoK), and another one between Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET). All the four teams indulged in tough competitions but team AKU and team IBA made their way to the final round. Hamdard University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Syed Shabibul Hasan was the chief guest of prize distribution ceremony. Sports directors and sports officers from Aga Khan University and IBA, and Hamdard University Sports Director Shamir Khattak also were present on this occasion.
