The senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya has said that the Palestinian armed group will not release the hostages it is holding captive in Gaza until Israel ends the war. Al-Hayya made the statement a day after the death of the group's leader, Yahya Sinwar, was announced after a surprise clash with Israeli soldiers.
