Halifax regional council voted unanimously in support of a new tennis development centre in Bedford, N.S., on Tuesday. The new facility will be an addition to the existing Daniel Nestor Tennis Centre, doubling the number of its indoor courts from six to 12. Tennis Canada says once the new facility is built there won't be any operating cost to the municipality. Tennis Nova Scotia said the new development centre will help meet the growing demand for indoor courts. Tennis Canada is applauding the decision.
