HALIFAX—A man was shot in Dartmouth on Friday night and police say they are ‘actively searching’ for the suspect. Officers were called to a report of a shooting around 11:15 p.m. in the 20 block of Kennedy Drive. A 24-year-old man from Dartmouth had been shot and, according to police, suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Police don’t believe the gunfire was random, and that the victim knew his shooter. Soon afterwards, police say they executed a search warrant at a nearby home and seized a shotgun and a handgun, along with ammunition.
