HALIFAX—When Emily Davidson started working to save the Khyber building, she thought she was running a marathon. “It turns out it’s an Ironman,” the president of the 1588 Barrington Building Preservation Society said Tuesday. The Khyber building, at 1588 Barrington St. in downtown Halifax. The Khyber Arts Society and the Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia were moved out, and in 2014, a movement began to save the building.
