HALIFAX — Police in Halifax say a 57-year-old man is dead after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene immediately afterwards. He also couldn’t say definitively whether the man killed was in the Mayfield St. crosswalk when he was struck. “We couldn’t speculate as to why until we speak to the driver,” MacLeod said as to what happened and why the vehicle left.
