Hakka Affairs Council unveils cloud serviceTAIPEI, Taiwan -- The Hakka Affairs Council (HAC) on Nov. 30 unveiled its new cloud computing-based services designed to better promote the culture of one of Taiwan's major ethnic groups globally. The Hakka Cloud features a web portal and a global information network, plus a system for users to submit applications for rewards and subsidies, HAC said. Presiding over a ceremony to unveil the Hakka Cloud, HAC Minister Lee Yung-te Hakka Affairs has now entered the cloud era, marking a milestone for transparency in the HAC's work. Lee said the Hakka Cloud offers user-friendly one-stop online services. But Hakka Cloud now allows the applicants to fill out the forms online and to check the progress of their applications anytime and anywhere, Lee said.
