The State Haj House at Karipur is getting ready to welcome Haj pilgrims from Kerala, Lakshadweep, and Mahe after a gap of five years. The restoration of Haj embarkation at Karipur has brought a fresh lease of life to the Haj House. Although Karipur regained its Haj embarkation status, Nedumbassery too retained its status, thus the State getting two embarkation points. A training camp for those selected as Haj volunteers will be held at Karipur Haj House on Saturday and Sunday. Mr. Faizy said that the State Haj Committee was offering a special training with the intention of ensuring better service to the pilgrims from the State.
