GEORGE TOWN: A 50-year-old hairstylist arrested over the molest case of a foreign national was remanded for four days. According to George Town OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar, a 28-year-old Australian man lodged a police report following the alleged molest by the older man, which happened on Thursday (Dec 28) at 12.30pm at a salon in a shopping mall here. "The victim claimed that the suspect groped his private parts and caressed his chest several times. The suspect tested negative for drugs," ACP Anuar Omar said Friday. He said police are investigating the case under Section 354/377D of the Penal Code for assault or use of criminal force with intent to outrage a person's modesty.
