Hagley Park show-jumping event a successJoseph Johnson/Stuff At least 1000 people turned out for the second annual Jump for Canter Hagley show-jumping event in Hagley Park on Sunday. The second annual Jump for Cancer Hagley kicked off at midday as equestrian enthusiasts basked under a blue sky and 23 degree Celsius heat. Event organiser Lisa Tennekoon said the event was created to raise money for the Breast Cancer Foundation of New Zealand. Joseph Johnson/Stuff It is the second year the event has run in Hagley Park. Hagley Park Polo ran an event in South Hagley Park in January, and the Heineken Urban Polo event drew large crowds earlier this month.
