HSE to provide smoking cessation programme in AthloneA seven-week smoking cessation programme will be delivered by HSE Stop Smoking Advisors in Athlone. ‘We Can Quit’ is a free, evidence-based, peer-led programme for men and women aged 18 years and over to help them to quit smoking. The programme in partnership with Youth Work Ireland Midlands also offers free nicotine replacement therapy to help smokers to quit for good. Westmeath’s first ‘We Can Quit’ programme will commence in Athlone on Monday, September 12 from 7pm to 8.30pm. This programme will be delivered in Youth Work Ireland Midlands, 17 & 18 Inis Óir, Golden Island, Athlone.
