For a long time, cricket was played only as Test match; a five-day game with one rest day – a total of six days for a match. And now the latest innovation in the game that is going to come through is the use of a “smart” cricket ball in matches. The smart ball looks, feels, and plays exactly the same way as a regular ball but has an embedded chip that registers many more data points than radar or ball tracking technology.
