Special envoy to the prime minister and Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman HM Ershad, the former military dictator, was admitted to Rangpur Combined Military Hospital on Tuesday night. Mostafizur Rahman, president of the Rangpur city unit Jatiya Party, said Ershad was feeling unwell when staying at his Rangpur city home. The JaPa chief went to Rangpur to take part in the city corporation election campaign on September 24. The doctor said he suffered from acidity due to the heat,” Mostafizur added. The JaPa Chairman was scheduled to attend two public meetings at Rangpur city on Wednesday afternoon.
