Carrie Lam rolls our more relief for Hong Kong, where livelihoods have been devastated by the deadly coronavirus that spread from Wuhan and continues to cause unprecedented misery. About 1.5 million Hong Kong workers will benefit from a wage subsidy of up to HK$9,000 in a HK$137 billion package of relief measures announced today to tide over the coronavirus pandemic that has gutted the economy and devastated livelihoods since December. Income tax payers will be allowed to delay payment by three months. The Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said today, half of the worker salaries will be paid over six months. The relief is capped at HK$9,000 per worker.
