Law Chi-kwong, left, says the HK$10,000 cash handout will be distributed in eight weeks. A HK$10,000 cash handout will be given to more than 200,000 low-income families, who are non-permanent residents. The allowance for new arrivals aims to cover those who did not benefit from a HK$10,000 cash payout to each permanent resident, earlier. Eligible applicants are those who have been in Hong Kong for less than seven years, and aged above 18 years before March 31, 2021. Bank of China (Hong Kong) will distribute the cash and 17 branches will open on Sunday for people to collect application forms.
