The number of confirmed cases today has again fallen below 70 since December 12. The Centre for Health Protection said as of 12am today, it has recorded 63 additional confirmed coronavirus cases – 10 imported and 53 local – bringing the tally to 8,301 cases. Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan, head of the Centre for Health Protection's Communicable Disease Branch, said of the fresh local cases today, 40 were linked to previous local infections and 13 with untraceable sources. Chuang said the local patients today include a private doctor Wu Xiaochun who works at Grandeur Terrace Shopping Centre in Tin Shui Wai. While five units at Ping Shing House, Ping Tin Estate in Lam Tin have seen individuals contracted the coronavirus.
