Hong Kong is adding Germany and Ecuador to its list of countries deemed as high risk of Covid-19, requiring arrivals from the two nations to test negative for the coronavirus within 72 hours before departure and to have a 14-day booking at a local hotel for quarantine upon landing. The city has closed its borders to nearly all tourists since late March in a bid to limit the number of imported infections. With the addition of the two countries, Hong Kong now has 17 countries on its high-risk list, including Britain, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and the United States.
