The shocked student, 19, of the city’s Gò Vấp District, told the police that the incident took place at around 8pm in Bình Thạnh District, when she was riding her motorbike to visit a friend. She then went to the Bình Thạnh District police station to report the assault. Worried that the attackers might have used HIV-infected razors, the victim’s family took her to Pasteur Institute to get HIV testing and anti-retroviral drugs.
