Supreme Court lawyer Eunus Ali Akond submitted the petition to the High Court Sunday morning. Secretaries to the Home Ministry, Finance Ministry, Industry Ministry, mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and two others have been made respondents of the writ. The hearing of the writ is likely to be held on Monday in front of the bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahsan and Justice M Kamrul Kader. At least 67 people were killed and 41 others injured on Wednesday night after a devastating fire broke out at a chemical warehouse and raged through several nearby buildings at Chawkbazar in Old Dhaka.
