The High Court (HC) has stayed for three months the government order that suspended Gazipur City Corporation Mayor MA Mannan for the third time. An HC bench comprising Justice Syed Muhammad Dastagir Husain and Justice Md Ataur Rahman Khan passed the order following a writ petition Sunday, reports UNB. On July 6, the government suspended Mannan after the mayor took his office following a court order. Mannan took over the charge of the city mayor on June 18 last, 28 months after suspension following an order of the Supreme Court.
