In the ruling, the court asked why it would not order restoration of the building and listing of such historic buildings to preserve those. The agriculture, cultural affairs, and housing and public works secretaries, director general of the Department of Archaeology, capital's development authority RAJUK chairman are among the respondents of the rule. The others are director general of the Department of Agricultural Expansion, executive director of the Cotton Development Board, Dhaka’s deputy commissioner, Dhaka Metropolitan Police commissioner and officer-in-charge of Tejgaon Police Station.
