The court also directed the concerned to pay Tk1 lakh each to the victims’ families within 15 days as interim compensation. An eighth-grader died on January 22 and a college student on January 16 in separate road accidents in Chittagong. And two school-going minor siblings were killed in a road accident, in Keraniganj on January 28. Children Charity Bangladesh Foundation and Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust had filed the writ following the tragic incidents. Barrister Halim said the court has fixed April 15 for passing further order in this regard.
