Cost imposedMeanwhile, the court on Tuesday imposed a cost of ₹50,000 on a contractor who had filed a petition questioning the conditions imposed in a tender for procuring mechanised sweeping machines. Justice Vineet Kothari imposed the cost while dismissing the petition filed by S.N. Balasubramaniam, who has a contract with the BBMP for providing services related to municipal solid waste management. BBMP had alleged that the petitioner has been repeatedly filing such petitions to place hurdles in the tender process.
