The bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil passed the order on Thursday, after hearing a petition filed regarding the matter. Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Syedul Huq Sumon moved for the plea while Deputy Attorney General Mokhlesur Rahman represented the state during the hearing. Following a report published in a national daily, Syedul Huq Sumon filed a petition with the High Court seeking its directive on the government to remove the poles.
