For that I interviewed Harvard Business School's Tom Eisenmann who is its Howard H. Stevenson Professor of Business Administration. While he does not have an easy way to predict who might be the next Zuckerberg or Bezos, he did offer an interesting way of thinking about the problem. As he explained in a May 31 interview, "I am reading Yale history professor John Lewis Gaddis's book, On Grand Strategy. Along with the growth comes an increase in the number of specialists and the need to coordinate teams," Eisenmann said. This brought to his mind HBS professor Howard Stevenson's definition of entrepreneurship: "the pursuit of opportunity beyond the resources controlled."
