H&M announces opening date for first NZ storeTHOMAS PETER/REUTERS H&M, otherwise known as Hennes & Mauritz, has since announced a second store at downtown Auckland's Commercial Bay. Swedish-based fashion giant H&M will open its first New Zealand store in Auckland on October 1. The retailer is almost finished fitting out a large two-storey 2300 square metre store at Sylvia Park. Andersson said the store would cater for men, women, youth and kids, and also feature its H&M Studio collection which showed at the Paris Fashion Week earlier this year. The other big brand about to open at Sylvia Park, Zara, has yet to announce its opening date.
