TRADE and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) approved DTI’s proposal to allow the reopening of more sectors in areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ). Lopez, in a Viber message to reporters on Wednesday, confirmed that the IATF allowed the reopening of internet shops, gyms, tutorial and review centers, and drive-in cinemas starting August 1. Lopez said these businesses will be allowed to operate at a 30 percent capacity but should follow stricter health protocols.
