Gwen Stefani may have moved on to greener pastures with new boyfriend Blake Shelton, but the sting of her split with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale still lingers. The pair were married for nearly 15 years, but when they divorced in October 2015, she said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, “my dreams were shattered. Stefani’s break-up with Rossdale similarly influenced her new solo album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like. It went from horrible to, like, hopeful and like, ‘Wow, God, you just don’t know what’s gonna happen next. '”“Of course you go through the ‘Why me?’ and feel sorry for yourself,” she said.
