Enlit Africa has confirmed the attendance of Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Gwede Mantashe, for 17 May of the power and energy conference in Cape Town. The Minister will be providing an update post the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy Budget Vote, on Day 2 at 2.30pm on the main stage at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Line items pertaining to energy access in this budget vote include: Transfers for non-grid connections are expected to enable 45,000 households to connect through non-grid technology in 2024/25.
