The chairperson of the ANC, Gwede Mantashe, believes the booing of President Cyril Ramaphosa, which led to him being forced to abandon Cosatu's May Day Rally on Sunday, may have been an orchestrated plan to dent his image. Mantashe, who is a founding member of the National Union of Mineworkers, which is an affiliate of Cosatu, told News24 on Tuesday that changes made to the speakers' line-up were "suspicious" and "cast aspersions" as to what such changes were meant to achieve.
