Brad Gushue and Team Newfoundland and Labrador's playoff chances are looking strong after they downed Team Ontario in a tight match Thursday afternoon. Team NL – made up of skip Brad Gushue, second Brett Gallant, third Mark Nichols and lead Geoff Walker – pulled off a 8-7 victory in the 11th end in its afternoon match against Team Ontario. 'Red out' gameAll eyes will now be on tonight's game, where Team Gushue will face rivals defeated them in last year's Brier championship game: Team Canada, led by skip Kevin Koe. The Draw 16 game against Team CA will start at 8 p.m., and in anticipation Team Gushue tweeted Thursday morning that fans should wear red to show their support for the home team. Following Team NL's win Wednesday night against Team Quebec, Gushue said that while his team is in playoff contention, they are staying focused on the games at hand.
