Gurgaon: Six doctors of Artemis hospital booked for medical negligence


Six doctors and the management of a leading private hospital have been booked for medical negligence on the complaint of a city resident. In his complaint, Ashok Makkar, a resident of New Colony, stated that his wife who was admitted to the Artemis hospital last year in June, died in August owing to the negligence of doctors. On June 29, Dr Paritosh S Gupta, a surgeon at Artemis Hospital, said that during the laparoscopy procedure her small intestine was ruptured at two places, alleged Ashok. The six accused doctors of the hospital located in Sector 51 include Dr. Geeta Baruah Nath head, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Dr Nidhi Rajotia, assistant Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Dr Paritosh S Gupta,surgeon, Dr Devlina Chakravarty, CEO Artemis Hospital, Dr Manjinder Sandhu, medical director and Dr Anjali Kaul, medical superintendent of the hospital. “It is stated that Rajni Makkar was treated at Artemis Hospitals as per standard medical practices.
