The main battle will be between Captain Ajay Singh of INC, sitting MP Rao Inderjit Singh of BJP and Virendar Rana of INLD. In 2014, Rao Inderjit Singh of BJP beat Zakir Hussain of INLD by 2.74 lakh votes. In 2009, Rao Inderjit Singh of BJP beat BSP’s Zakir Hussain by 84,000 votes. Among the prominent BJP candidates in the fray are Union ministers Rao Inderjit Singh, who is seeking re-election from Gurgaon, and Krishan Pal Gurjar, who is fighting to represent Faridabad again. Union minister Birender Singh's son Brijendra Singh (BJP) and former chief minister Bhajan Lal's grandson Bhavya Bishnoi (Congress), both political greenhorns, are contesting from the Hisar Lok Sabha seat.
