After several delays due to litigation, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has set December 31 as the deadline for completing the construction of the Hero Honda Chowk underpass. The Hero Honda Chowk underpass was conceptualised in 2007. In 2014, the Haryana government transferred eight acres of land belonging to the Haryana urban development authority (Huda) to NHAI for building an underpass and a flyover at the Hero Honda Chowk. At the Hero Honda Chowk, traffic converges from major centres including Pataudi, Sohna, Manesar and Gurgaon. To remove the bottleneck, the underpass and flyover have been planned at the site to widen the intersection and reduce traffic congestion.
