Magistrate: Although he has a pending matter of a similar nature, for which he is out on bail, these charges before me that he's now facing, emanated from incidents before the pending matter. The principles in bail applications remains exactly the same, and the courts do not discriminate between the rich and the poor. Magistrate: All the grounds raised by the State, in order to oppose bail, are based on public perception. The courts may not allow public perception to rule its decisions. The situation would've been different if the applicant was out on bail on a similar matter and he committed these offences while he was out on bail.
