Guns and gangs unit investigating road rage incident in Kanata

A 23-year-old man faces a list of weapon charges after a fight outside a fast food joint escalated into an extreme case of road rage Saturday night in Ottawa's west end, say police. The Ottawa Police Service says a verbal altercation broke out around 8:30 p.m. near the Wendy's on Edgewater Street. The accused drove off in what an officer described as a case of "road rage." Officers say that man later took out a gun and pointed it at a member of the public near Castlefrank and Hazeldean roads. On Sunday members of the guns and gangs unit executed a related search warrant in the 700 block of Sanibel Private, off Old Richmond Road, and seized three BB guns.
