In states such as Maryland, where guns kill more people than motor vehicles, we should be constantly reminded how much blood is spilled in preventable violence. It may be true that guns don’t kill children; people kill children. But we shouldn’t permit people to own the guns that kill children without proving they can do so responsibly. Instead of working to save the lives of American children, Congress will vote to make cop-killing bullets legal. Robin L.
