The Guardian learnt that the ugly incident occurred at about 7:45a.m. at Ring Road bypass, leaving the popular area deserted. According to an eyewitness account, three gunmen who came in a black VW Golf first shot the policeman who was in the car with the expatriate before they whiskey the engineer away. “The three gunmen started shooting sporadically immediately they arrived and shot the mobile policeman attached to the abducted engineer. A stray bullet also hit a truck driver in the area,” Abubakar Muhammad told The Guardian.
