According to the post, the BJP-ruled states- Gujarat, Karnataka --have a low literacy rate compared to non-BJP ruled states - Kerala, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. The post also carries data of students using smartphones in BJP-ruled states- Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and non-BJP ruled states- Kerala. It indicates that the lack of literacy rate in the BJP-ruled states is due to the use of smartphones. Of the five states, Kerala has the highest literacy rate of 96.2% followed by Andhra Pradesh 66.4%. Currently, the BJP-ruled states of Gujarat and Karnataka have a literacy rate of 82.4 and 77.2 percent respectively.
