Gujarat High Court has asked the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation to file an affidavit stating what action it proposes to take against 26 officers for poor quality of roads, based on the vigilance report. It has also asked the corporation to file progress report on January 16, 2018. The bench had also asked if the Corporation had asked its internal vigilance department to investigate nexus between contractors and officers and then submit the report to the court. Corporation had taken random samples of 92 roads and sent them for laboratory testing to FSL, LD Engineering College. The corporation also told the court that many roads had been either repaired or completely resurfaced.
