GEORGETOWN: Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has expressed his gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for answering his telephone call at 3.30am today seeking armed forces assistance in the face of Penang’s worsening floods. “I managed to contact him and I would like to thank him for answering my call, even at 3.30am,” Lim said in a statement this morning. He said, Zahid who is also Home Minister, had promised to send armed forces personnel to help rescue flood victims in Penang.
