In a series of videos by an online counter terrorism support group, Epuka Ugaidi, the group outlined ways employed by terror operatives to lure Kenyan children into terrorism. The group also outlined measures that parents can adopt during the school holidays to monitor their children’s activities. She narrated how her son had changed his names without her knowledge and was set to join the terror group before the plot was unearthed. The group has in the videos exposed how cars and money used are being used to lure potential recruits to join terror groups.
