Unconfirmed reports claimed that a parliamentary aspirant was holed up in the hotel, where he was reportedly meeting party elections board officials and presiding officers. The aspirant was said to have been dining with the officials when the residents stormed the hotel. A personal assistant of the aspirant was reportedly attacked and injured when the residents stormed the hotel at around 11pm on Tuesday.
