A group of teenagers assaulted and robbed a man of his car in Lower Hutt last weekend. Police are investigating after a group of about seven youths robbed a man of his car in Lower Hutt. A 24-year-old male was assaulted on Fitzherbert Rd in the suburb of Wainuiomata, after meeting the group of teenagers in the early hours on Saturday, a police spokeswoman said. His car was located soon after in a damaged state a short distance from where it was stolen, the spokeswoman said. “Police inquiries are continuing to identify those from the group, which numbered about seven young males and females,” she said.
